Have you ever heard the saying, "One person's trash is another person's treasure"? Have you ever found or been given an item that someone else was going to throw away? Describe it. Why did you like it?
Isaiah G. i found a skateboard in the trash at my favorite skate park. it was a HUFFY board with SPEED DEMON wheels that were black and red. the picture on the board was a longboard with glasses.
Desaree C. I found a guitar that somebody had thrown in the garbage can.it had a pink case it was in,and it was red with white designs on it.I found it at a garage sale and I cleaned it off.
Cynthia E One time my moms friend was throwing away this art work that was spray painted, painted, water colors, drawn, it's so cool. So I asked him if I could have and he said a could and its still in my room to this day.
Cassie W. I can't think of a time where I found somebodies wallet or money or found something on the side of the road. But if I did it was probably on the side if the road and we got it for a friend who needed it.
Rebecca B. When my mom got a new cellphone, she was going to throw her old one away. But, I asked If i could have it until I get a new phone, since my old one was cracked. I actually turned out to be a nice phone that took nice pictures and wasn't slow. What I really liked about it was that I could throw it across the room and it wouldn't break! It was indestructible! It may have been a piece of trash in my moms eyes, but to me, it was a treasure.
Cassie W. Yes I have heard that saying before. When I was little my mom found an American girl doll on the side of the road on the top of a garbage can, the doll was in perfect condition. I loved the doll and still have it for my future daughter. When I'm driving with my family and we see a bed, dresser, desk, or something else in good condition we will take it and give to another friend or fix it up and sell it for money.
Caleb B. Maybe someone could be throwing out a Ms. Pac-Man arcade cabinet that he/she doesn't need, and could possibly still in working condition. I could take it out of his/her's hands and into m own. Imagine the fun I'll have.
